Wednesday's Wisdom Strategy 🧡 The Harvest Season Is Here
Fall brings in a fresh crop of fruits and vegetables — and a few great ways to celebrate:
1. Farmers Markets. Fresh produce, homemade jams, and good gardening advice. Make it a Saturday morning family outing!
2. U-Pick Farms. Pick your own fruits and veggies — often cheaper than the grocery store, and a fun family experience.
3. Roadside Farm Stands. Just-picked produce, homemade goodies, and local jams — another budget-friendly way to support local farmers.
A change in seasons means a harvest of good food, family time, and savings.

Monday's Blessing Moment 🙏 Celebrating a Change in the Seasons
"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." — Ecclesiastes 3:1
I love the change in seasons — mainly because it gives me another chance to become a better person. When I let God change my perspective, my thoughts about myself, and my attitude from discouraged to joyful, it deepens my relationship with Him.
And a deeper relationship with God opens the door to bring someone else into a new season too — one of hope, love, strength, courage, and faith. Those are the seasons that last a lifetime.
Praying this seasonal change brings you closer to God in new and wonderful ways! 🍂

Friday’s Financial Peace 💰 Stretching the Holiday Budget
Haven't set money aside for the holidays yet? It's not too late to enjoy them on a budget.
1. Comparison shop for groceries. Big menu items like turkey and ham often go on sale as early as mid-October — buy ahead and freeze or store what you can.
2. Shop early for gifts. Stores like Hobby Lobby and Walmart offer Christmas specials starting in September and October — often better prices than the November shopping rush. Just make sure it's budgeted; don't dip into emergency funds for holiday shopping.
3. Get creative. Make a gift, shop dollar stores, local specialty shops, or online sites with good prices and no extra fees.
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you." — John 14:27
Praying you find ways to show love while keeping the Lord's peace this season.

Wednesday’s Wisdom Strategy 🧡 Holiday Funds Without the Stress
Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner! Remember your budget — big or small — and don't let holiday overspending undo all the progress you've made toward being debt-free.
A few ways to keep the season stress-free:
1. Simple beats fancy. A stressless celebration filled with love beats an expensive one that shifts focus onto cost instead of the people you love.
2. Plan the menu now. Ask relatives to bring rolls, canned goods, or dessert — sharing the load takes pressure off one person's budget.
3. Set a gift limit. Draw names and set a dollar amount (like $25) per gift. Do the same for other gift-giving needs — coworkers, church groups, etc. It's about love, not the price tag.
Showing love doesn't have to wreck your budget or be extravagant!

Monday’s Blessing Moment 🙏 a Day to Rest
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." — Luke 2:14
On the days life feels overwhelming, and you just need a moment of calm, remember why Jesus came to this earth — to give us peace.
Take a moment and breathe. Let a favorite Christmas memory flood your heart. It's amazing how the season of "good will toward men" can bring peace into today's stress.
Praying you have many days of peace and good will as we look toward celebrating our Lord's birth this Christmas. 🎄

Friday’s Financial Peace 💰 Stretching the Gas Budget

Got somewhere to go this weekend, but wondering if your gas budget will cover the costs? A few more tips to stretch your gas budget — even for that unplanned trip:
1. Ride-share when you can. Carpool with others headed the same way — even for kids' weekend activities.
2. Use GasBuddy. The app or website shows current gas prices nearby or at your destination — just be specific with city, state, and zip.
3. Use loyalty cards. Membership cards (not credit cards) at places like Sam's Club, Costco, H-E-B, Kroger, or Tom Thumb typically save you at least 10¢/gallon — and watch for promos offering even more, like 50¢ off with a qualifying purchase.
Plan ahead, save at the pump, and take the scenic route! đźš—

Wednesday’s Wisdom Strategy 🧡Fueling Your Budget
Gas prices can change overnight, making it tough to budget. Here's how to build a gas budget that handles the ups and downs:
1. Give gas its own line item with a specific dollar amount in your budget.
2. Estimate your fill-ups. Figure out how many times you fill up per week, then multiply by 4 for a monthly number (divide by 4 for weekly budgets, by 2 for bi-weekly).
3. Plug in current prices. DFW-area averages are running close to $4.00/gallon for gas and $6.00/gallon for diesel. Example: 2 fill-ups/week Ă— 20 gallons = 40 gallons/week Ă— 4 weeks = 160 gallons/month Ă— $4.00 = $640/month. Adjust using the weekly/bi-weekly math above.
4. Track for accuracy. Log your fill-ups and mileage for at least a month, then fine-tune your budget based on real numbers.
Small habit, big peace of mind at the pump. â›˝

Monday's Blessing Moment Finding Rest for Your Mind
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
If you're struggling today — with inner peace, past trauma, or just the overwhelming busyness of life — remember the Lord wants you to have peace. All you have to do is ask.
Life's struggles cloud our minds and hearts, feeding doubt and making us want to give up. But a peaceful mind leads to a peaceful spirit — and that's exactly what opens the door to the solution God's been showing you all along.
Praying you have peace every day this week! 🙏

Friday's Financial Peace đź’° No Guilt, Just Freedom

Proverbs 21:20 – "There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up."

Payday again! I used to get excited about it — until I saw how little was actually left once real-life hit. Once we built a budget and got honest about where we needed to improve, we finally had room for "fun" money — guilt-free.
That's the real win of taking control of your money: fun without the guilt.
