A dog in Florida barked his furry head off, saving his family from a devastating fire 🐾 That’s just the heartwarming story we needed to hear this week.

In Westville, Florida, this dog alerted his family that there was a barn fire nearby by “refusing to stop barking.” Just minutes later, the fire department arrived and found the barn fully engulfed and spreading into the woods.

“If it weren’t for the dog’s guardian instincts and the son’s quick action, this situation could have ended much worse,” said Walton County Sheriff Michael Adkinson.

For anyone needing a little pick-me-up today, we have an adorable feel-good story about a cuddly sloth and a nervous zookeeper.

The story begins with Amelia, the brand new zookeeper at Drusillas Park in Sussex, who was nervous at first to be working with the sloths. Gordon, our friendly sloth, responded to those nerves with a show of affection.

The two have bonded and now Gordon refuses to get out of bed in the morning until they have their ‘morning cuddles’ and Amelia takes him for his daily spin around the zoo. What could possibly be more heartwarming than a cuddly sloth?
