Well, after 6 years, we figured it was time to bring back a fan favorite! 👻🎃

⚠️ IMPORTANT RULE:

Your decorations cannot interfere with the normal operation of the trash can. Nothing can be placed around the lid that prevents it from opening, closing, or functioning properly.

DUE TO THE THREAT OF INCLIMATE WEATHER THE EMS TRUNK OR TREAT HAS BEEN POSTPONED. The new date and time is Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 1 - 4 pm. It will still be held at the County Government Building, 150 North Provident Way, Elizabethtown.

Hardin County Emergency Medical Services will be hosting the annual Trunk or Treat event this Saturday, October 10, from 4-7pm.
It will feature emergency vehicles, First Responders, construction equipment, motorcycles, and representatives from various community organizations, all providing activities, tricks, and treats for the children.
Hardin County EMS values this annual opportunity to foster community engagement and sharing a memorable evening with our community.

📢 HOLIDAY CLOSURE NOTICE 🇺🇸

Please be advised that our office will be closed Monday, October 12th, in observance of the holiday.

🚛 Good news! Trash collection will run on its normal schedule. There will be no changes to your regular pickup day.

Our office will reopen on Tuesday, October 13th.

🛞 Thursday & Friday: Full day
🛞 Saturday: Half day

Tires are accepted on or off the rim, including passenger vehicles, trucks, lawn tractors, bicycles, motorcycles, golf carts and more!

🚫 Some tires are not accepted, so be sure to check the flyer for the full list of restrictions.
