Last night, the building we are located in was broken into. Our offices were not breached. No data, records, files, or personal information was ever accessed. We are closed today to clean up the mess the thief made, but the tax office will reopen tomorrow. Next week we will be back to our regular season hours of Monday though Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturdays 9 am to noon.

Tomorrow, December 1st, sports betting goes live in Missouri. Any winnings are taxable income. If you choose to bet, keep a log of your bets. Winners and losers. You will need this come tax time. The sports books will be reporting your winnings to the IRS and the State, regardless of you cashing out your online account. Don't get caught unprepared. 🤑🏈💰📈

Tax filing season officially starts Monday. We will be back to tax season hours. Monday through Friday 9 am to 6 pm. Saturday 9 am to 12 pm. Some items to remember:
ID
All of your tax documents (most not due to be mailed till Jan 31st)
School record or medical record for kids if we are claiming them.
Bank interest statement
Check your investment apps to make sure you don't have any tax documents. It doesn't matter if you barely have anything in there.
New this year is the 1099K. If you use Venmo, Cash app, Apple pay etc, check your app and make sure you don't have one.

The injunction was lifted. BOI reports are now due on January 13th. If you have an LLC, partnership, or S corporation, you need to file this.

The year is winding down and that means deadlines for certain filings are coming. A new one this year is Beneficial Ownership Information filing with FinCen. This is a new one and it is due December 31st. Don't ignore this one. The fine for failing to file is $500 a day.
