🚨 SCAM ALERT: Beware of Fake Tax Collection Phone Calls! 🚨

We want to make our clients and community aware of scam phone calls from individuals claiming to represent a tax collections office.

⚠️ These calls are now reaching members of the Amish community as well. Please help spread the word so everyone is aware that these scams are happening!

Scammers may sound professional and convincing, claim you owe money, or try to pressure you into providing personal or financial information.

🛑 PLEASE REMEMBER:
✅ Never provide your bank account numbers, routing numbers, passwords, or other sensitive financial information to an unsolicited caller.
✅ Do not let anyone pressure you into making an immediate payment over the phone.
✅ If you are told you owe taxes, hang up and independently verify the claim using official contact information.
✅ When in doubt, contact your tax professional before taking action.

📢 PLEASE SHARE THIS POST AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY, AND NEIGHBORS! Make sure everyone knows not to share sensitive banking information with unexpected callers claiming to collect taxes.

💰 TRUMP ACCOUNTS: WHAT PARENTS NEED TO KNOW

A new tax-advantaged savings opportunity for children is now available, and there’s an important distinction between opening a Trump Account and qualifying for the $1,000 federal contribution.

👶 Who can receive the $1,000?
Children who:
• Are U.S. citizens
• Have a valid Social Security number
• Were born January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2028

The U.S. Treasury will make a one-time $1,000 contribution to the Trump Account for eligible children when the required election is made.

📈 What about children born before 2025?
An eligible child who is under age 18 may still have a Trump Account established for them, even though they would not qualify for the $1,000 Treasury pilot-program contribution. Contributions from parents, family members and other eligible sources may be made, subject to the applicable annual limits.

📝 How do you get started?
Visit TrumpAccounts.gov for information on how to download the app. Parents, guardians and other authorized individuals can also establish an account by submitting IRS Form 4547, Trump Account Election(s). The IRS also now allows taxpayers to submit the election through their IRS Individual Online Account.

⚠️ Important: This is a new program, and the rules are different from a traditional IRA or 529 plan. Make sure you understand the eligibility and contribution rules before making a decision.
