Marketing might grow your business. It doesn't guarantee anything.

There's one move in your business that actually does.

A plan you put in place before the year ends is a plan you can act on. Most advisors only tell you what already happened.

If this year was slower than last year, that might actually be the best year to do something most Realtors only do by accident.

When your income lands in a lower bracket, a Roth conversion can potentially cost less in tax than it would in a bigger year.

It's not right for everyone. It depends on your full picture. But the window doesn't stay open forever.

DM TAXOS and let's see where you stand.

A Realtor got a $5,000 top-producer bonus at her brokerage's holiday party. She assumed it would be taxed the same way her commission checks always were.

It wasn't.

Bonuses, awards, and contest prizes from a brokerage can be treated differently for withholding purposes than regular commission income, which means the amount that actually lands in your account isn't always the number you expect, and the amount reported at tax time isn't always what was withheld.

She didn't find out until the following spring, when the numbers didn't line up the way she thought they would.

Nothing about what her brokerage did was wrong. Nothing about what she did was careless. Nobody had ever walked her through how that specific kind of income gets treated.

That's the gap TaxOS is built to close: not just commission income, but every dollar that shows up in a real estate business, including the ones that show up once a year with a plaque attached.

Jane had a rental property she was ready to sell and almost turned it into a tax bill she didn't need to have.

She knew about 1031 exchanges. She just didn't want another building to manage.

Depending on how it's structured, the proceeds can potentially go into a professionally managed real estate fund instead. The deferral may still work. The landlord calls stop.

Sitting on a rental you're ready to let go of?

ou built a real business. You still make every tax decision alone in your head at 11pm.

Nobody taught you how to think about entity structure, retirement contributions, or what your quarterly payment should actually be this year.

You figured it out as you went. And your CPA answers when you ask, but they're not the one lying awake wondering if you asked the right question in the first place.

That's not a discipline problem or a smarts problem. It's what happens when every one of those decisions gets made alone, with nobody checking the math before it matters.

TaxOS is what a second set of eyes on your plan looks like before the year closes the window on you.

DM TAXOS and I'll walk you through what that could look like for your business.

A record year should feel like security.

For one Realtor, it turned into the most expensive year she'd had, and she didn't see it coming until it was already done.

Bigger listings. Bigger checks. A great year on paper. She figured the good year would take care of itself.

Nobody reviewed her structure as her income climbed. The plan that worked at a smaller income level never got revisited once she crossed into a much bigger one.

Most Realtors aren't overpaying because they're careless. They're overpaying because nobody's managing the strategy before the year closes, and a record year makes that gap bigger, not smaller.

Join the weekly webinar at bottomline.tax/webinar and see what a review at your income level should actually be catching.

Jane's assistant went from part-time to full-time.

Her tax strategy stayed exactly where it was.

That shift changed her payroll tax deposit schedule to a different frequency, with different deadlines. Nobody flagged it. She kept operating on the old rhythm for two full quarters before anyone caught that her obligations had changed.

Not a mistake she made on purpose. Just what happens when the business grows and nobody tells the tax side.

Growth should trigger a review. Not just a bigger team.

DM TAXOS and let's make sure your setup actually caught up to your business.

Building a team changes your income.

It should also change your tax structure. Most of the time, it doesn't.

As a solo agent, your income is one thing: commissions. Once you build a team, it becomes two things: your personal production and the override income from your agents. Most people never go back and rebuild the plan around that.

Same structure. More money moving through it. That doesn't shrink a leak. It grows one.

Team growth should trigger a strategy review, not just a bigger deposit.

Take the 3-minute Tax Leak Check and see if your structure ever caught up.

Her assistant went from part-time to full-time.

That single change shifted her payroll tax deposit schedule to a different frequency and different deadlines. Nobody flagged it when it happened.

She kept operating on the old schedule for two full quarters. By the time it was caught, an estimated $1,340 in penalties had already accrued, depending on how the deposits are ultimately assessed.

Not a mistake made on purpose. Just what happens when a business grows, and the tax side never gets the memo.

Growth should trigger a review. Not just a bigger team and the assumption that everything still fits.

You can legally pay your kid to help run your business.

Filing. Social media. Helping set up an open house. Real work, reasonable pay.

A child's standard deduction can cover roughly the first $14,600 of earned income, potentially tax-free to them. In an unincorporated business, those wages can also skip Social Security and Medicare tax until they turn eighteen.

Here's the part almost nobody does next: once your kid earns that income, it can go straight into a Roth IRA or custodial account. Not a checking account. Their future.

Depending on your situation, this is worth a real conversation.

DM TAXOS and let's look at how it applies to your family.
