No 1099-K doesn’t mean no taxable income.
For payment apps and online marketplaces, the federal Form 1099-K reporting threshold is back to more than $20,000 AND more than 200 transactions. But that does not mean business income under that threshold disappears for tax purposes.
If you use Venmo, PayPal, or other payment platforms for business, the important question is not just whether you received a 1099-K — it’s whether your books accurately reflect the income you earned.
That’s where Churchill Rossi & Co. can help. Tax rules change, reporting rules shift, and it’s easy to get conflicting information. CRCO helps business owners understand what applies to them, keep their books accurate, and make smarter financial decisions with confidence.
Have questions about 1099-K reporting, business income, or how your payment app activity should be recorded? Ask CRCO. We’ll help you make sense of it.
