Here are a few recent updates and reminders we thought were worth sharing:

📋 BOI Reporting Update
FinCEN recently finalized its rule exempting U.S. companies from Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reporting requirements, making permanent the exemption introduced under last year's interim rule.

🎓 Federal Student Loan Autopay Reminder
Certain federal student loan borrowers who enroll in autopay by September 30 may qualify for a temporary 1% interest rate reduction through June 30, 2028. If you have federal student loans, check your account or Federal Student Aid to learn more.

💰 Social Security Outlook
According to the 2026 Trustees Report, Social Security's retirement and survivor trust fund is projected to deplete its reserves in 2032 if no changes are made. While that's understandably concerning, it's also a reminder of the importance of planning for your financial future now, one step at a time.

Have questions about any of these updates? We're happy to help.

💡 Quick Excel Tip

Need to total expenses for just one location without manually sorting your spreadsheet?

Try the SUMIF formula! Just replace LocationRange and AmountRange with the actual cell ranges from your spreadsheet:

=SUMIF(LocationRange,"Dallas",AmountRange)

In this example, this tells Excel to add only the amounts where the location is Dallas.

One simple formula can save you a lot of time. Follow us for more practical bookkeeping and business tips.
