💭One thing I wish more taxpayers understood:

Your tax return is NOT the place to guess.

If you’re self-employed, have multiple income sources, own a business, have investments, received certain credits, or had something change financially during the year, those details matter.

And if your preparer never asks questions?

That should make you pause.

A good tax preparer isn’t just punching numbers into software. We’re supposed to understand what we’re preparing.

🚩 NEW TAX PROS

The AFSP (Annual Filing Season Program) is NOT a tax preparation course. It’s a refresher/compliance program.

So please know the difference before you spend your money.

Because I’ve had someone wanting to join my tax academy, reached out and said already purchased her training course else where. After realizing she paid for the AFSP and not an actual tax course, she wanted to purchase mines. She purchased it because it was cheaper. Since she was new I was giving her the mentorship free now but NOW…

🚩 NOPE that’s a red flag to me and my business. I don’t want your business period.

If you paid for the wrong thing because you were trying to save money, I’m not accepting your payment afterwards. Get someone to do it, they will gladly help you out for their price.

Do your research before you pay. Cheap and complete are not always the same thing.

BE HONEST…

A lot of people don’t really hate doing their taxes.

They hate feeling like they worked ALL year, paid taxes ALL year and then still have no idea what’s going on when it’s time to file.

You got a W-2.
You got a 1099.
Maybe you got kids.
Maybe you started a business.
Maybe you drove your car into the ground working.

And now somebody is telling you, “You owe.”
