🚦 RED DIESEL GETS THE GREEN LIGHT!
But New York Is Still Showing Red! 🔴
The IRS recently announced temporary federal penalty relief allowing red-dyed diesel to be used in highway vehicles through December 31, 2026.
Sounds like good news for farmers, truckers, and businesses looking to save on fuel costs, right?
Not so fast if you're in New York!
While the federal government has suspended certain penalties, New York State has not followed suit. Using red-dyed diesel in highway vehicles remains prohibited under state law, except for existing exemptions.
The takeaway? Just because the federal government gives something the green light doesn't mean New York does too!
