Single with no kids? You still need an estate plan.
It's a common myth that estate planning is only for couples or parents. But without a will, state law decides who inherits what, which could mean distant relatives, or even the state, rather than the people or causes you would choose.
A plan also lets you name someone you trust to handle your finances and make medical decisions if you're ever unable to. It's less about how much you have and more about keeping your wishes in trusted hands.
