This milestone represents my dedication, discipline, and a deep commitment to better serving my clients and their financial goals. I'm excited to continue growing and providing thoughtful, comprehensive guidance to the individuals, families, and businesses I work with.

Most importantly, I want to thank my wife for her incredible support and sacrifice. The late nights, weekends of studying, and time away wouldn't have been possible without her.

So much to be thankful of this year! Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and wonderful time with family and friends.

Freedom does not come free. Thank you to all the Veterans who volunteered to serve our country both domestic and abroad. Thank you for your courage, sacrifice, and dedication.

Backpacking. Some people dread it; others see it as an adventure.

My girls wanted to test their toughness, so we headed out to the southern hills of Ohio. They crushed it — hiking through the woods, setting up camp, and soaking up nature. Watching them, I couldn't help but think how much backpacking has in common with having a solid financial plan.

You've got to keep a steady pace, pack smart so you're not weighed down, and stay flexible when the trail takes an unexpected turn. Check your mile markers as you go — just like tracking your financial goals — and when you hit a milestone, you celebrate. (We celebrated ours with s'mores by the fire.)

Lump Sum Investing statistically tends to outperform the Dollar Cost Average (DCA) option but it often times comes down to the behavior of the investor.

Lump sum may be a better option for those who are comfortable with market ups and downs.

DCA may be better for those worried about volatility and want to reduce the regret of bad timing. DCA can also benefit from markets that drop and the investor continues to invest. This strategy can put an investor in position to participate with the uptrend of markets over time.
