🚗 IRS Update: 2026 Business Mileage Rate Increased (Effective July 1, 2026)

The IRS has officially announced a mid-year increase to the standard mileage rates due to higher fuel costs.

New rates effective July 1, 2026:
📍 Business: 76.0¢ per mile (up from 72.5¢)
🏥 Medical & Moving: 23.5¢ per mile (up from 20.5¢)
❤️ Charitable: 14.0¢ per mile (unchanged by law)

This is only the second mid-year mileage adjustment since 2022, reflecting the significant increase in fuel prices.

If you're a business owner who deducts mileage or reimburses employees for business travel, now is a good time to update your mileage tracking and reimbursement rates.
