💡 A Few Important Reminders:
- We know some of you may want or need an **advance**, but please don’t rush to file your taxes. Make sure you have all your documents—W2s, 1099s, etc.—before filing.
- If you’ve used third-party payment apps (like Cash App or Venmo) or online marketplaces to sell goods/services:
- You’ll receive a 1099-K if your payments exceed $5,000.
- Even if payments were under $5,000, you may still receive one.
- Companies have until January 31st to issue this form. Filing before you receive this could result in needing an amendment which most tax companies charge $200–$300 for.

⚠️ Note: Payments received from family and friends (personal transactions) should NOT be reported on a 1099-K. If you’re affected by this or need guidance, come see me to get it corrected and learn how to avoid this in the future!
