Do you want to work with an atypical accounting firm that is serious about helping small businesses but not always serious about acting like a traditional accounting firm?
BKI is looking to add you to our roster! We need a Jack-or-Jane of all trades. An office MVP. A person who can answer the phone, help a client, wrangle a spreadsheet, follow up on a text, organize chaos, and still have enough personality left to put up with us.
Basically, we are looking for the person who makes everyone else say, “Thank goodness you’re here.”
You might be our person if you:
💡 Like people, but also understand why spreadsheets are sometimes better behaved
💡 Can answer the phone without sounding like you hate humanity
💡 Know how to keep track of details before they turn into tiny office fires
💡 Are cool under pressure, especially when tax season starts acting brand new
💡 Can create organization from chaos
💡 Have used QuickBooks, Excel, spreadsheets, AR, AP, or office systems
💡 Are sorta nerdy, sorta not
💡 Have ideas and are not afraid to share them
💡 Want to work in a modern office inside a very traditional industry
💡 Understand that “that’s not my job” is not really our love language
This job may include:
☎️ Being the first point of contact for clients by phone, text, and in person
🤝 Helping clients feel welcome, heard, and taken care of
📋 Coordinating with team members so follow-ups do not disappear into the void
📊 Assisting with spreadsheets, reports, QuickBooks, and basic accounting-related tasks
🗂️ Helping keep office systems organized and moving
🔥 Putting out small fires before they become big dramatic fires
☕ Helping maintain a positive, comfortable, team-first office environment
Some experience with any of the following would be great:
📌 QuickBooks
📌 Excel or spreadsheets
📌 Accounts receivable
📌 Accounts payable
📌 Customer service
📌 Office administration
📌 Bookkeeping or accounting
📌 Small business operations
Job Type: Full-time
Work Location: In person
Schedule: 8-hour shift
