This week's Member Spotlight features Heather Bustamante, Property Manager with Gershman Commercial Real Estate!

Heather has been in the commercial real estate industry for four years and quickly embraced the opportunities BOMA offers to connect, learn, and grow. She has attended Foundations in Practice sessions, monthly luncheons, the Industry Expo, and more, and says she appreciates BOMA’s commitment to providing opportunities for members to continue learning and developing within the industry.

When it comes to her favorite BOMA event, there’s no question: Trivia Night! Heather loves taking a theme and running with it, maybe even a little too far, she says! Her team always has a blast, and she enjoys seeing so many people from across the industry come together for plenty of laughs and a little friendly competition.

Outside of work, Heather finds the most joy spending time with the people she loves, cheering on her youngest girls at their volleyball games, and, whenever possible, putting her toes in the sand and soaking up some vitamin D by the ocean.

And one thing you might not know about Heather? She considers herself an unpaid interior designer. If your lobby needs a facelift, she’s your girl. She says her rates are pretty reasonable: she’ll work for compliments!

This week's Member Spotlight features Becky Wilburn, Business Development Manager with Securitas Security Services!

With 12 years in the industry and nine years as a proud BOMA member, Becky has built lasting relationships throughout the commercial real estate community. When it comes to favorite BOMA events, she says it’s a toss-up between Trivia Night and the Industry Expo. She loves the energy of Trivia Night, both as a participant and volunteer, and seeing members have fun while supporting a charitable cause. She also values the Industry Expo as a unique opportunity for vendors and principal members to connect, learn from one another, and strengthen industry relationships.

Becky is active on several committees, including Programs and Trivia, but Community Outreach holds a special place in her heart. As Co-Chair, she enjoys helping create opportunities for members to give back and make a positive impact. She especially appreciates the variety of outreach projects offered throughout the year and seeing members rally around meaningful causes.

Outside of work, Becky loves spending time with family and friends, whether it’s dinner out, game nights at home, concerts, boating on the lake, or meeting up for a cocktail or two. This fall will bring an especially exciting milestone for Becky and her husband as they welcome their first grandbaby in October. They’re looking forward to this new chapter and all the joy that comes with becoming grandparents!
