Think life insurance is too expensive? It may be more affordable than you think.

A basic term life policy can cost less per month than a streaming subscription: or even a daily coffee. For many people, coverage can fit almost any budget when you adjust the coverage amount and term length to match your needs.

The right starting point isn’t “Can I afford life insurance?” It’s “How much protection can I comfortably add to my monthly budget?”

Term life basics can provide meaningful financial protection for your family without requiring a major lifestyle change. Actual premiums vary based on age, health, lifestyle, coverage amount, term length, carrier, and underwriting: but exploring your options is easier than you may think.

Compare term life insurance options online at insurancebuddy.ai: without agent pressure.

What’s the difference between your premium, deductible, and out-of-pocket maximum? 🤔

Here’s the plain-English version:

• Premium: your monthly payment to keep your coverage active.
• Deductible: what you pay for covered care before your plan begins sharing more of the cost.
• Out-of-pocket maximum: the most you typically pay in a plan year for covered, in-network services. Once you reach it, your plan generally covers 100% of eligible in-network costs for the rest of the year.

That out-of-pocket maximum is where group plans actually cap out, but premiums, out-of-network care, and non-covered services may not count toward it. Always check your specific plan details.

Clear benefits education helps employees make smarter decisions and helps employers communicate the value of their plan.

Getting married? Here’s what changes for your life insurance coverage.

Marriage is a major life milestone: and a smart time to review your policy. Start with these three questions:

1. Who is listed as your beneficiary? Make sure your spouse is named if that reflects your wishes.

2. How much coverage do you need now? Consider shared income, mortgage or other debts, future goals, and the financial support your spouse may need.

3. Do your employer benefits and personal policies work together? Review workplace coverage, beneficiary forms, and any gaps in protection.

Your life insurance should reflect the life you’re building: not the life you had before saying “I do.” 💍

Turning 30, 40, or 50? 🎂

A milestone birthday is a great reminder to review your life insurance coverage: not because something is wrong, but because life may have changed.

Your premiums can be affected by your age when you apply, the policy you choose, your health, coverage amount, and policy term. If you already have coverage, your premium may stay level for the life of the policy: but your needs may not.

Have you:
• Bought a home?
• Started a family?
• Changed careers or income?
• Taken on new financial responsibilities?

A quick coverage review can help you make sure your policy still fits the people and priorities you’re protecting. Insurance Buddy makes it easier to compare term life insurance options from multiple carriers, with straightforward guidance and no confusing runaround.

Just had a baby? Here are the 3 coverage questions every new parent should ask. 👶

1️⃣ Would our coverage replace income and help with childcare, housing, debts, and future education costs?

2️⃣ Are our beneficiaries up to date: and have we named the right people to protect our child’s future?

3️⃣ Is our employer-provided coverage enough, and would it stay with us if we changed jobs?

Having a child changes more than your schedule. It changes the financial protection your family may need.

Term life insurance can be an affordable way to help protect the people who depend on you. Insurance Buddy makes it easy to compare plans from multiple carriers and apply online: without agent pressure.

Most group plans look more generous than they really are.

Before renewal season, take a closer look at what your coverage actually caps out at:

• Life insurance may be limited to around 1× an employee’s salary.
• Disability and other benefits can have annual or monthly maximums.
• Some coverage ends when the employee leaves the company.

That doesn’t make group benefits unhelpful, but it does mean employers and employees need to understand the gaps before they become a problem.

A benefits plan should be reviewed for real-life value, not just the headline coverage amount. Insurance Buddy can help you evaluate your plan, explain the fine print, and make more informed decisions for your team.
