Today, he helps clients reach their financial goals by showing families that regardless of life’s challenges, everyone can save for the future. As part of his mission, many families turn to Lamar for his experience in the special needs realm of finance, and he enjoys giving a voice to the sometimes voiceless. The importance of family and community is not lost on Lamar as he spends much time with his two kids and their various school events, coaches youth basketball, mentors DePaul students through their Alumni Sharing Knowledge program (ASK), and donates tickets to local sporting events. “It’s not always about generating business”, Lamar says “it’s about being a human”.
