FYI… IRS has very recently been depositing “mystery” refund deposits to taxpayers that had already received their refunds during tax season.

If this happens to you, do NOT use the money as it most likely is an error and they WILL require it back.

Immediately, call the IRS directly to inquire at 1-800-829-1040.

I cannot call for you and I do not have any other information as of right now.

The warns of an evolving digital assets scam where fraudsters are sending fake IRS letters that direct you to enroll your cryptocurrency in a “Digital Asset Compliance Portal” by a certain deadline. No such portal exists.

If you receive this notice, do not scan the QR code or provide any personal or financial information. Scammers are trying to steal your information and digital assets.
