I walked into the office and saw everything for the Mid-Continent Dental Congress organized, prepared and ready to go—and I had nothing to do with it.

As a business owner, moments like this make you stop and take in the bigger picture. This table represents so much more than an upcoming event. It represents all the small things happening every day behind the scenes—the planning, follow-through, problem-solving and genuine care that make Thousand CPA what it is.

Building a great firm takes a team, and I’m incredibly grateful for ours. They work hard, take ownership and continually show up for one another, for our clients and for this firm.

We truly have an amazing team—and I’m so proud of what we’re building together. 💙

Last month we welcomed Kelley with the Leadership Growth Formula back to Thousand CPA! Our team spent two full days focused on individual growth, team development, communication, and becoming stronger together.

It’s always valuable to step away from our normal routines and dedicate time to learning more about ourselves and the people we work alongside every day. We had great conversations, learned a lot, shared plenty of laughs, and walked away with new ideas and tools we can continue putting into practice.

We believe investing in our people makes our entire firm stronger—and ultimately helps us better serve our clients, too.

Thanks for coming back, Kelley! We loved having you at TCPA again, and judging by the pictures, we managed to have quite a bit of fun while learning, too. 💚

This Fourth of July, we pause to celebrate the freedoms we enjoy, the values that unite us, and the countless men and women who have served and sacrificed to make those freedoms possible.

We are proud to live and work in a country built on opportunity, hard work, and the pursuit of something greater. As we gather with family, friends, and neighbors to celebrate Independence Day, we remember the courage, resilience, and patriotism that continue to shape our nation.

From all of us at Thousand CPA, thank you to those who have served, those who continue to serve, and the families who support them. Wishing you a safe, meaningful, and patriotic Fourth of July.

A 30-second bookkeeping tip that can save you hours later:

Open QuickBooks -- Look at your uncategorized transactions.

That's it. Seriously. Spending just a few minutes each week categorizing transactions is much easier than trying to remember what happened six months ago when tax season rolls around. Future You is begging Present You to do this.

One of the simplest ways to keep your books accurate? Reconcile every month.

Reconciling your accounts helps ensure:
✅ Transactions are recorded correctly
✅ Missing transactions are identified
✅ Duplicate entries are caught
✅ Your financial reports remain accurate

Waiting until year-end often turns a quick task into a major project.

A monthly reconciliation routine can save time, reduce errors, and make financial decisions easier throughout the year.

"I'll worry about taxes next year."

As CPAs, we hear this more often than you might think.

The funny thing is that the best tax decisions are usually made before tax season ever arrives.

Buying equipment. Hiring employees. Starting a retirement plan. Making charitable donations. These decisions often happen months before a return is prepared, but they can have a major impact on what happens when it's time to file.

The clients who save the most money typically aren't the ones who scramble in March. They're the ones who make a plan in June.

We were thrilled to host a Client Appreciation Event at the office during the Blue Angels Air Show. Between the breathtaking performances, great food, and even better company, it was a fantastic opportunity to spend time with the clients who make what we do so rewarding.

One of the best parts of our business is building relationships that go beyond tax returns and financial statements. Events like this allow us to step away from the office routine, connect with our clients and their families, and simply enjoy a memorable day together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We loved sharing this experience with you and are already looking forward to the next opportunity to celebrate with our amazing clients.
