👻 Scary Accounting Story #4: He withheld his employees' payroll taxes… and then KEPT the money. 😬 After an IRS warning, he did it again, and an IRS revenue officer AND a sheriff showed up at our office! 👻 Scary Accounting Story #3: An uncredentialed bookkeeper had usernames, passwords, blank checks, AND signature stamps… and walked off with about $2 MILLION from just one client. 😱 She was caught and convicted, but it never should have happened. 👻 Scary Accounting Story #2: A previous CPA claimed fuel tax credits that the client's industry is flat-out not allowed to take… on fuel the client's own customers had already reimbursed. 😱 Now it's at least $35K in paybacks, penalties, and interest.
