Katie has a beautiful soul, and she believes every soul deserves a sense of security. That belief shapes how she works with clients and how she shows up for the people she loves. She is a reader, a baker, a weightlifter, a dancer, and someone who designs her own costumes because creativity is just part of who she is!

She is the kind of person who greets every new chapter with a full heart, and from where we sit, her best is still ahead.

Two years of Paul Johnson making sure nothing falls through the cracks, and honestly, we've gotten very used to that. Paul came to Acumen with a simple belief: things don't happen, they are made to happen. As our Director of Client Services, he lives that out every day, helping us keep everything running smoothly with energy, humor, and a growth mindset that makes even the hard stuff feel manageable.

We're really glad he's here. Happy two-year anniversary, Paul!

Some careers deserve a real celebration. Last night, we had one!

Yesterday, friends, clients, and team members gathered to celebrate Beth Tremaine and a remarkable chapter in our firm's story.

As Acumen's longtime Chief Investment Officer, Beth brought nearly 40 years of finance knowledge to every portfolio decision, every client conversation, and every investment strategy she helped shape. She strengthened our team, served our clients with care, and enriched this firm in countless ways.

Her legacy will remain part of who we are.

Beth, we are so grateful for everything you poured into this place. Wishing you a retirement as full and generous as you've been to all of us.

Trump Accounts and Roth Conversion Planning

Trump Accounts may offer families a way to save for a child’s long-term financial future. Although these accounts generally become subject to traditional IRA rules after the child reaches age 18, a Roth conversion may be one planning option to consider at that time.

After the account’s growth period ends, the account is generally subject to the rules that apply to traditional IRAs, including rules governing Roth conversions. This may create an opportunity for a young adult, particularly one with relatively low taxable income, to evaluate whether converting some or all of the account to a Roth IRA is appropriate.

Exciting news. Acumen Wealth Advisors is moving!

Thanks to our amazing clients and team members we've outgrown our current space. We've selected 1600 Broad Street in Chattanooga's Southside District - a building dating back to 1901 that we're preserving through adaptive reuse. The new location more than doubles our footprint, adding expanded conference rooms, a client reception area, a training room, and additional parking.

Anticipated completion: end of 2026. Check out a few of the renderings here. We'll keep sharing as progress continues.
