February 12, 2016 - Federal Banking System is Closed on Monday February 15
Please remember that the entire U.S. Banking system is closed on Monday February 15 due to a federal holiday. Although banking branches are open to walk-in traffic, the U.S. Federal Reserve will not allow money to move between banks during the holiday.

As a result of the banking holiday, please note that all banks nationwide are unable to post new deposits into taxpayer bank accounts on Monday. Taxpayers expecting funds to post to their accounts may experience a delay due to the holiday. In addition, fee deposit payments into tax preparers bank accounts may also experience a delay.

Also, please note that the federal government will not be releasing refunds on Monday due to the holiday. As a result, there may be delays in the IRS releasing refunds surrounding the holiday, and the information on the Advance Notification Report may not follow the typical patterns.
