This service is available for returning clients only. If there are gap years in service, then we won’t be able to process an extension at this time. You are more than welcome to come and pick one up to mail yourself.

Extensions must be requested by you and are not automatic. Once you’ve submitted your request, we recommend checking in a few days later to confirm your extension was successfully filed and accepted.

First and foremost, thank you—each and every one of you—for being part of our weird little tax practice. We’re coming up on our 30th anniversary, and we truly couldn’t have done it without you. We feel incredibly lucky (most of the time 😉) that you’ve trusted us to take care of your tax needs all these years.

BOI Filing Update!

Hey everyone!

Just a quick reminder that the Beneficial Ownership Information reporting requirements are back in effect with a new deadline of March 21, 2025 for most companies. It's really important to take action before this date to stay in compliance.

If your business was organized through any US Secretary of State (like LLCs, S-corps, C-corps, etc.), you’ll need to file. Sole proprietors are not required to file, though.

While FinCEN may adjust deadlines, please plan to meet the March 21st date for now.

The good news is, FinCEN doesn’t charge any fees for filing, and you only need to file once—just remember to update your information (like your name or address) if anything changes down the road.

Seasons Greetings!

Just a quick pre-season update!

Dearest Friends!

I hope the approaching holiday season finds you happy and healthy.

I wanted to outline our schedule for the rest of the year. We’ve been working steadily since the end of tax season to get all the returns finished and filed by the 17th of November (which I think is the e-file cutoff date), but plans sometimes have a way of changing.

In early October I had a little cardiac event which landed me in the ICU for four days and has pretty much had me on and off my feet since. I’ve begun cardiac rehab, but I have another procedure coming in early December that should finish all the patching up, so I will be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed come January 2024!

Until then, my schedule will be very unpredictable. For some reason the people around me think I should be taking it easy - pfft! I’m essentially on house arrest so I won’t be keeping regular office hours for the remainder of the year, but Freddie is here to help you out and Jacob will be on the sidelines for assists.

Because of Hurricane Idalia, we’ve been granted an additional extension. Affected individuals and businesses will have until Feb. 15, 2024, to file returns and pay taxes. If you haven’t dropped your taxes off to be filed, then please bring them to us so we can have them ready to go on Feb. 15th.

Lastly, The office will be CLOSED! CLOSED! CLOSED! starting Monday, December 18th, 2023, we’ll reopen on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. We’ll be catching up on our continuing education and trying to grab some much-needed R&R. There won’t be anyone there to answer the phone, but we will be checking the [email protected] email
