We know… tax season feels a LONG way away right now. 😅 But September is actually a great time to get a few things in order before the end-of-year craziness begins.
Here are 3 simple things you can do now to make tax time a little easier later:
📁 Get your paperwork organized.
Keep receipts, donation records, business expenses, mileage logs, and other important documents together. Future you will thank you!
💰 Take a look at your withholding.
Did you get married, have a baby, start a new job, buy a home, or have a major change in income this year? Those changes can affect your tax situation.
📊 Business owners — check your books!
If you own a business, now is a great time to make sure your bookkeeping is up to date and your expenses are being tracked. Don’t wait until January to try to remember where all that money went! 😉
A little organization now can save you a LOT of stress later.
