It was an opportunity for our community to hear directly from the candidates, learn more about their perspectives on issues affecting Castle Rock businesses, economic vitality, and engage in an important conversation about the future of Castle Rock.

We also want to recognize Mayor Jason Gray and Councilmen Kevin Bracken - Castle Rock Town Council, District 3 and Max Brooks for their service and support of the Town of Castle Rock Government, and extend our appreciation to everyone willing to step forward and serve our community in this way.

🚨 It’s RMD Month at Fidelis! 🚨

Say what?! 😅

Every October, our team comes together to process Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) for our clients.

Not exactly glamorous, but proactive planning rarely is. 😉

So, what’s an RMD?

💰 A required withdrawal from certain retirement accounts once you reach the applicable age (currently 73 for many retirees)

📊 The amount is based on your age and account balance

💵 It generally counts as taxable income

⚠️ Miss your RMD? You could face a penalty.

The bottom line? RMDs are one more piece of the retirement planning puzzle, and they’re worth getting right.

This week, our leader, Sam Tenney, had the privilege of attending the Castle Rock Chamber’s Veterans Alliance meeting and sharing a few remarks with this distinguished group.

The Veterans Alliance is dedicated to empowering and supporting veteran-owned businesses and veteran professionals through advocacy, networking, mentorship and community service.

For Fidelis, supporting this mission is especially meaningful. The Fidelis name was inspired by Sam’s son joining the U.S. Marine Corps more than nine years ago. The Marine Corps motto, Semper Fidelis, means “always faithful” – a value that continues to be at the heart of who we are.

That’s why we’re proud to serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the Veterans Alliance and support a program that strengthens connections, creates opportunities and honors the contributions of our veteran community.
