Texas Court halts BOIR effective immediately. Declares filing unconstitutional. Pending supreme court appeal. Companies do not need to report as of right now.

Ein Gericht in Texas hat die neuen Reporting Auflagen für Firmeneigentümer mit sofortiger Wirkung ausser Kraft gesetzt. Das Amt wird wohl beim Verfassungsgerichtshof Einspruch einlegen. Das wird aber wohl mehrere Jahre dauern, bis das abgehandelt ist. Im Moment besteht daher keine Meldepflicht für Firmen.

Dear Clients!

First of all, thank you so much for all your well wishes and uplifting notes so many of you were sending our way.
As you have all heard SWFL was hit by a catastrophic hurricane last week. We wanted to inform you that we are fine although our Cape Coral office still has no power or water and sustained roof damage, but no flooding occurred. We are thankful that we did not lose power, water, or internet at our home office.
As we have already informed you last week the IRS has extended the tax deadline from October to February 15th, 2023 for 1040 U.S. resident filers.
We hope all our clients are safe and in case they lost power or water that their utilities will be up and running in the next few days.

Sehr geehrte Klienten!

Zu aller erst möchte ich mich recht herzlich für die zahlreichen Nachrichten und aufmunternden Worte bedanken, die bei uns eingelangt sind!
Wie Sie alle wissen, wurde SWFL von einem katastrophalen Hurrikan und einer Jahrhundertsturmflut getroffen. Wir wollten Sie darüber informieren, dass wir wohlauf sind, aber unser Cape Coral Büro hat leider immer noch keinen Strom oder Wasser und das Dach wurde teilweise abgetragen. Zum Glück hatten wir kein Flutwasser im Gebäude. Wir sind sehr dankbar, dass wir während der ganzen Zeit Strom, Wasser und Internet im Home Office hatten.
Wie wir Sie schon letzte Woche infomriert hatte, hat das Finanzamt die Abgabefrist für in den USA ansässige Bürger von Oktober auf 15. Februar 2023 verschoben.
Hoffentlich geht es Ihnen allen gut und wir wünschen jenen, die noch immer ohne Strom, Wasser oder Internet sind, dass bald alle Services wieder hergestellt sind.

Tax Deadline for personal income tax is extended to February 15, 2023 for Hurricane Ian victims.

Affected taxpayers in a federally declared disaster area have the option of claiming disaster-related casualty losses on their federal income tax return for either the year in which the event occurred, or the prior year.

FL-2022-19, September 29, 2022 — Victims of Hurricane Ian that began September 23 in Florida now have until February 15, 2023, to file various individual and business tax returns and make tax payments, the Internal Revenue Service announced today.
