Differences between accounting and bookkeeping:

At least, a bachelor's degree is required to perform as an accountant. However, anyone with basic financial skills can be trained to work as a bookkeeper. The tasks performed by bookkeepers include recording daily transactions like sales and invoices, maintaining general ledger, managing inventory, payment received and sent, and creating financial reports.

However, the accountant’s work is more subjective which includes analyzing financial reports created by bookkeepers, preparing financial statements, filing taxes, playing consultant in decision making, and making financial forecasts.

As a result, an accountant can perform as a bookkeeper, but the opposite isn’t possible.
