Emily's Bookkeeping & Tax Service LLC We provide a variety of bookkeeping, payroll, and tax services. My name is Emily Thyer.

My husband and I both grew up in Bunker Hill, IL, and have lived in the Bunker Hill area our whole lives. Our four children currently attend Bunker Hill schools or have graduated from Bunker Hill High School. Following my graduation from Bunker Hill High School, I attended Southern Illinois University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Master of Science in Accountancy. I worked at a local tax office for 7 years before opening my own office in 2022. I strive to provide a service that is affordable, trustworthy, reliable, accurate, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Good news for charitable givers!

A new tax law allows all individual taxpayers to deduct qualifying cash charitable contributions—even if they don't itemize deductions.

📌 Deduction limits:
• Up to $1,000 for Single filers
• Up to $2,000 for Married Filing Jointly

If you make cash donations to qualified charitable organizations this year, be sure to keep your records! Save receipts, bank statements, or written acknowledgments from the organization, as documentation is important when claiming the deduction on your tax return.
