Today at 11 AM Central, Omar is covering the decision behind what producers keep.

A property or retirement contribution can be a meaningful goal. The question is how it fits the agency's numbers, available cash and other priorities.

Start there, rather than letting the biggest deduction choose the next move.

Keep More of Every Commission is about 30 minutes, for producers doing $150K+. Your Tax Risk Score runs live in the first ten minutes. Then Omar works through the decisions behind funding the next asset and the order for making them.

Bring the property, contribution or question you've been putting off. You don't need a finished plan to attend.

Yes and no aren't the only useful answers to an agency's money decision.

Proceed when the case is clear and the business can support it. Pause when a required condition is missing. Test when a smaller commitment can tell you what you need to know. Get more evidence when the numbers aren't reliable enough.

That might mean testing a lead budget, reviewing cash before an owner draw, or gathering records before an entity recommendation.

Each is a next step. None requires pretending you know more than you do.

Which response fits the decision on your desk right now?

"We need a tax strategy" isn't specific enough to make a decision.

An agency may be deciding on owner pay, retirement funding, a support hire or lead spending. Name the move, the result it should produce, the cash involved, the timing and the alternatives.

Then identify what you still need to know. The cost, the rule, the available cash or whether the move solves the actual problem.

A missing answer is a place to start, not something to hide.

Which answer would help you move your current decision forward?

Omar covers this today, 11 AM Central. Link in the comments.

A good tax presentation doesn't make the same move right for every agency.

A producer preparing to hire needs available cash. Another may be focused on retirement. A third can't make a sound decision until the records are cleaner.

They heard the same idea. Their businesses need different things.

Start with the goal, the obstacle, the other uses for the money and what must happen first. Then evaluate the strategy.

Advice should fit the business using it.

What should an advisor understand about your agency before suggesting the next move?

Tomorrow, 11 AM Central. October starts a week from today.

For an insurance agency, a busy Q4 can leave the same tax decision untouched for months. March's conversation becomes November's unfinished task. Then the bill arrives and the owner says, "Not again."

A better sequence starts before the calendar fills: review the numbers, identify the decisions with real deadlines, and know what needs to begin before AEP.

Omar walks through that tomorrow in Keep More of Every Commission. About 30 minutes, for producers doing $150K+. You'll run your Tax Risk Score live in the first ten minutes, then compare October and December deadlines and the order for making your decisions.

Bring the hire, contribution or timing question you keep moving to next week.

An agency doesn't get a sequence by calling everything urgent.

Separate the work into First, Next and Not Yet.

First clears a blockage or meets a real deadline. Next becomes useful after that. Not Yet holds good ideas that still need cash, information or capacity.

Then choose three priorities, give each an owner, and decide what would signal a problem. Thirty competing priorities are harder to act on than three clear ones.

Cleaning up the numbers can belong in First while the property stays in Not Yet. That's an order, not an excuse to avoid action.

What needs to move into your Not Yet column?

A deduction doesn't make an unnecessary purchase necessary.

Before an agency prepays next year's E&O, dues or conference, ask whether it would buy the expense anyway.

If not, stop there. If yes, compare the benefit of early payment with the cash committed now. Accounting method, coverage period and prepayment rules still affect the deduction's timing.

An expense can qualify for tax treatment and still leave less cash for a more important Q1 need. Decide what the business needs first.

Which expense are you considering paying early, and why?

Two days out. One more reason this conversation matters.

The producer with the $40,000 IRS check told Omar: "I have no interest in taxes at all, nor in the books, nor in the bookkeeping side of things."

He wanted to sell, sleep at night, and pay for college. He had a CPA, but nobody owned the work of looking before December.

The result was the same routine: the bill arrived, then the promise not to let it happen again.

Friday, Sep 25, 11 AM Central, about 30 minutes, for producers doing $150K+. Run your Tax Risk Score live in the first ten minutes and see your exposure for 2026. Then Omar walks through three real producer decisions and the order he uses, so "not again" becomes more than a promise.

Bring the decision you've been carrying.

Knowing your bracket doesn't tell you your effective tax rate.

The bracket is about the next taxable dollar. The effective rate compares tax paid with income. One producer went from 17.6% to 11.4% on about $128K of income without changing his bracket.

Compare your own years with the same definition. Then ask whether income, deductions, entity treatment, or credits changed. Another producer's number isn't automatically the right target for you.

Do you know your effective rate from last year off the top of your head?

October 15 is a collision point for Medicare producers.

Annual enrollment opens. Most people who requested a filing extension also need their 2025 personal return finished. The April payment deadline didn't move with the filing extension.

A producer told Omar, "During AEP I was doing all these applications. I didn't have time to do any filing."

Get the document handoff settled now. Name what's missing and who closes each item. Another phone reminder won't finish a task nobody owns.

Which unfinished filing item needs an owner before the 15th?
