AI Bubble, Boom...or Both? Wall Street spent the past three years rewarding companies for promising an AI-powered future.
Now investors are asking a different question. When will hundreds of billions of dollars of AI spending begin translating into stronger earnings?
Here's what caught my attention. While the Magnificent Seven stumbled this month, money didn't leave the stock market. It rotated.
The next trillion dollars may be spent less on software and more on the physical infrastructure powering AI:
• Data centers, Electricity, Copper, Utilities, Construction, Networking, Industrial companies
History reminds us that every major technology revolution goes through the same cycle. Excitement. Massive investment. Consolidation. Then the long-term winners emerge.
That doesn't necessarily mean AI is another Dot-com Bubble. It may simply mean the next chapter will look very different from the first.
This week's newsletter explores:
• Market Bubble Analysis: "The Four O's"
• Why AI is becoming an industrial revolution.
• Where we're positioning client portfolios as market leadership broadens

How to Build a Retirement That Actually Fits Your Life. Ending up with the right amount of money is less about the stock market and more about you.
Good point on ratio of expenses to income in retirement - have at least 25 to 50 times your income in savings to avoid bouncing a retirement paycheck.
Also be realistic on returns: The average 30-year return on U.S. stocks since the beginning of 1793 is about 6.2%. That’s the real return, net of inflation and not even consider considering taxes

Gravity strikes: Global tech sell-off intensifies, led by AI and chip stocks
It was the latest of many “gut check moments” for tech stocks recently.
The VXN fear index for big tech stocks is up along with a tilt back to 'fear' for the fear and greed index.
The deepening sell-off in tech stocks was led by artificial intelligence and chip stocks, starting overnight with two of South Korea’s largest companies.
Not much help either- Musk’s SpaceX slid for days after a blistering June 12 debut.
Are ai bubble fears relevant or is this a buying opportunity? What are your thoughts? Under the radar, RSP > SPX YTD confirms the broadening/rotation theme. More in our next newsletter.

Don’t Panic Yet? What Wharton's New Social Security Timeline Means for Your Retirement. interview with Jenna Romaine.
An analysis from the Penn Wharton Budget Model projects the Social Security Old-Age and Survivors Insurance Trust Fund, also called the OASI Trust Fund, will be depleted in February 2033.
For clients, the planning takeaway is straightforward: Social Security should be viewed as one piece of a broader retirement income strategy, not the foundation that determines whether the plan succeeds or fails,” says Jon Ulin, a certified financial planner and managing principal of Ulin & Co. Wealth Management.

An updated model pushes the projected fund depletion back by a few months, but financial experts warn that core concerns remain unchanged.
