Gentle Reminder....
If your return falls under the PATH ACT (you're lower income or have children dependents (9/10 not always) the IRS does not start processing those type of returns until AFTER Feb 15. [This is also noted on your refund form]

February 15th was Sunday. February 16th was a Federal Holiday.

This has been in place since 2015.

Where's My Refund won't have a status update for you just yet, as neither will I unfortunately.

For those tax returns affected by the PATH ACT...

EITC and ACTC Refunds Available Around March 2

Most refunds for the earned income tax credit (EIC) and the additional child tax credit (ACTC) are expected to be available in bank accounts or on debit cards around March 2, 2026, for taxpayers who chose direct deposit and have no other issues with their returns. Some taxpayers may receive their refund earlier, depending on their financial institution.

Where’s My Refund? will provide projected deposit dates for most early EIC/ACTC refund filers by Feb. 21, 2026.
