Jefferson County has sent out delinquent filing notices on business personal property tax returns even though the returns are not due until December 31st. If you receive one for a return we prepare for you, please know that we are working on filing all the returns on time, but please send us a copy of the notice if you want.

Our office will be closed for the Christmas holiday, December 24th -26th. We will reopen on Monday, December 29th. We wish you and your families a very merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year!

Injunction lifted; FinCEN extends most BOI deadlines to Jan. 13 The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday granted a Justice Department motion to lift an injunction imposed by a district court ruling. Hours later, FinCEN announced, in light of the court decision, that the Jan. 1, 2025, reporting deadline was extended to Jan. 13 for most reporting companies.
