You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin.

But imagine how it might feel to leave with:
- Less noise.
- Less second-guessing.
- Less wondering if you’re missing something.

And instead have:
- Clarity about where you stand.
- Confidence about what matters most.
- A short list of what to do next.
- Permission to stop worrying about the rest.

That’s what we want a Financial Planning Intensive to give you. A sense that you can finally exhale and say:

“I know what to focus on now.”

If that kind of clarity sounds good right now, visit our website to see if a Financial Planning Intensive is right for you: https://dowealthdifferent.com/intensive

“I need to get everything organized before I meet with a financial planner.”

I hear this all the time.

But sometimes, the reason you need financial planning is because there is too much spinning in your head to organize it by yourself.

I recently sat down with a client who had a lot swirling around—not just paperwork and numbers, but questions about what she wanted her life to look like and whether the decisions she was making were actually moving her toward it.

So we spread it all out. The papers. The properties. The numbers. The questions. And slowly, the noise started to quiet.

She didn't leave with everything in her financial life perfectly tied up in a bow, but she did leave knowing where to focus. Now she's making decisions about her real estate portfolio based on what she actually WANTS, not simply what she's always done or what looks good on paper.

That's what clarity can do.

You don't need the perfect spreadsheet before you ask for help, you don't need every account memorized, and you don't even have to know exactly what the question is yet.

Sometimes you just need a place to put everything on the table, sort through it with someone who understands the numbers, and figure out what matters most.

You don't need to get organized before you get clarity. Sometimes clarity is what finally helps you get organized.

So what exactly IS a Financial Planning Intensive?

It’s not ... investment management or comprehensive financial plan. And it’s definitely not us handing you 42 more things you should be doing.

It’s for the person who is doing many things right financially, but still has questions, decisions, or financial clutter they want help sorting through.

We’ll review your financial picture before we meet, work through what matters most together, and help you leave knowing:
- Where do I stand?
- What actually deserves my attention?
- What should I do next?
- And what can I stop worrying about?

That last one might be our favorite.

We have two more spots available at the introductory rate of $495.

No investment transfer required. No ongoing relationship required. Just professional financial planning designed to give you clarity and a path forward.

What is all this money actually for?

It's such a simple question, yet we can spend decades building wealth without stopping to answer it.

- More income.
- More savings.
- More investments.
- More equity.
- More. More. More.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with building wealth, but eventually, the question has to change from:
How much more can we accumulate?
to:
What do we want what we've accumulated to make possible?

Maybe it's retiring earlier.
Maybe it's taking the trip.
Maybe it's helping your kids.
Maybe it's generosity.
Maybe it's leaving the job that's consuming you.
Maybe it's having enough margin to stop optimizing every financial decision.
Maybe it's simply knowing: We're okay.

Money is a tool.

The goal isn't simply to die with the biggest pile. The goal is to use it wisely to help build a life you actually WANT to live.

What do you want your money to make possible?

I know this girl is looking forward to camping season!

Can we talk about perfectionism and money?

Perfectionism sounds surprisingly responsible...
- I just want to research it a little more.
- I want to make sure we make the right decision.
- Let's wait until we know more.
- I'm not comfortable doing anything until I'm certain.

These are all things I've said before. On the surface they sound wise until you've been researching the same decision for two years.

Financial wisdom and financial certainty are not the same thing.

There are decisions where the numbers can give us a clear answer, but there are others where the numbers simply tell us what's possible and then we have to decide what matters.

- Should I retire?
- Should I leave this job?
- Should I work less?
- Should we help our adult children?
- Should we spend the money and take the trip?

Financial planning with Do Wealth Different can help you understand the tradeoffs, but eventually, YOU still get to choose your life.

A vibrant, purpose-filled life will require wise action - not perfect certainty.

Where are you waiting for certainty that may never come?

One of my favorite parts of our Financial Planning Intensive is the Financial Priority Map, because most people don't come to us with nothing to do... they come with TOO MUCH.

So instead of handing someone an even longer financial checklist, we organize what we uncover into four categories: NOW. NEXT. LATER. NOTHING TO DO.

That last category matters more than you might think.

Sometimes the most valuable thing we can tell someone is: You don't need to worry about that right now.

The goal isn't more financial homework. The goal is clarity.

Save this one for the next time everything feels important.

Financial overwhelm doesn't always look like financial struggle.

Sometimes it looks like this:
- You earn good money.
- You pay your bills.
- You're contributing to retirement.
- You have savings.

From the outside, you're doing great, but in the back of your mind there's a constant thought:
Are we doing enough?
Should we be doing something different?
Are we behind?
Could we afford that?
What am I forgetting?

And because nothing is technically wrong, you keep carrying the questions.

This is something I wish more successful people understood: You don't have to be in financial trouble to deserve financial clarity.

Planning isn't only about fixing problems.
Sometimes it's about realizing how much you've already built and figuring out what you want it to make possible.

If someone in your life looks financially “fine” but carries a lot of these questions, send this to them.

- I'll figure out retirement when I'm closer.
- I'll deal with that old 401(k) eventually.
- We'll talk about the mortgage later.
- I'll figure out how much is enough when the kids graduate.
- I'll think about working less when we're in a better position.
- I'll organize everything when life slows down.

Do you see the problem?

“Later” has become a financial strategy.

Sometimes waiting is absolutely the right decision, but there is a big difference between:
"We've looked at this and intentionally decided to wait.”
and
“I don't really know, so I'm not going to look at it.”

One creates peace. The other creates a mental tab that stays open for the next five years.

You don't have to make every financial decision today, but you should know which decisions actually need to be made.

What if the goal of working hard isn't to work hard forever?

On Labor Day, we celebrate hard work. And I'm all for it.

Work can give us purpose, provide for our families, and allow us to build wealth.

But somewhere along the way, many of us learned that the answer is always to keep going.
- Earn more.
- Save more.
- Achieve more.
- Push through this season.

And then...someday...we'll slow down.

But “someday” isn't a financial plan.

One of the things I love about financial planning is that the numbers can help us ask a different question:

What has all of this hard work already made possible?
- Could you work less?
- Take the trip?
- Change careers?
- Retire sooner?
- Create more margin now?

Building wealth matters, but so does recognizing when the wealth you've built gives you permission to live differently.

This Labor Day, maybe the question isn't “What am I working toward next?”

Maybe it's: “What has my hard work already made possible?”
