Burn baby burn 🔥 Glassblowing is back!!!

We just hosted a client event at McFadden Art Glass. We’ve done an event with them before and decided to circle back for a Gourd-geous Glassblowing party 🎃 Everyone who came was set up to make a pumpkin, but we ended up with cups, vases, bowls, and even a few shot glasses getting blown too 😂

It looks super intimidating going in but it was SO MUCH FUN! The staff was incredible and walked us through every step and our clients absolutely loved it. One of our clients even showed up already wearing the studio’s merch so safe to say they’re a big fan

Definitely look into doing this for a team or client event or just take the family. The holidays are coming up and homemade ornaments would make an awesome gift 🎄😏

Thank you McFadden crew for having us we’ll be back for sure!

Ever see a headline about a huge company buying back billions of its own stock and think “okay cool but what does that actually mean for me?”

I was asked to explain why that would matter and I went with the obvious analogy of PIZZA 🍕😂

If you cut the same pizza into fewer slices the slices get bigger. A buyback works the same way. The company buys some of its own shares and takes them off the table so the slice you’re holding is now a bigger piece of the pie. You didn’t buy anything extra you just own a little more of the company. More pizza is more valuable at least to those of us who love a good slice 🍕

Is it automatically a good thing? Not always because a buyback doesn’t guarantee the stock goes anywhere. It’s usually a sign that management feels good about the company and its growth and that’s worth paying attention to.

Kailey Jourdan, Assistant Director of Volunteer & Community Engagement from Harford Family House, was our most recent guest on Get the Guac!!! 🎤🥑

She shared a story with us about a father working to rebuild his life who came to Harford Family House hoping to reunite with his two young daughters.

With support from the HFH team the family was back together just a couple of weeks after he entered the program.

Having stable housing and the right support can make a difference for families in our community and we’re proud to support Harford Family House and the work they do right here in Harford County.

Two of our latest Questions of the Week!!

Very different topics but that’s kind of the point. We want to bring you along for the ride and give you a little peek at what’s happening around the office

🍫 Most recently we had the big brownie debate of 2026. An office divided between Team Corner vs. Team Middle. Strong opinions and absolutely zero chance of compromise.

🎂 The week before in honor of Mike turning 30 we had to settle an important question

Is 30 an old young person or a young old person?

Looks like we’re pretty much in agreement on that one 😂

These little whiteboard debates have been sparking some of the funniest conversations around the office throughout the week. It’s a simple way to get everyone talking, laughing, and learning a little more about each other.

We’d highly recommend trying this with your own team. Just be prepared for some surprisingly passionate opinions...

What should our next Question of the Week be? 👀

Getting some new HARP gear for the team and naturally I made the comment that I could fit into a youth size and save a few bucks 😂

I’ve tested this theory with some shirts I ordered from Piper’s soccer team so it wasn’t completely unproven

Well Mike was ordering some samples and decided to test the theory by ordering me a youth vest 😂

The HARP fashion show took place at our weekly meeting so everyone could see the different sizes and colors. PSA that more offices should bring merch fashion shows to the workplace!!

Hard to tell in the pictures but without even realizing it I had put on the child size. It didn’t take long to realize it wasn’t fitting quite right and we were all laughing 🤣🤣

So I’m gonna have to go with the adult size after all 🤷‍♂️

Good news is we found some solid new merch for the team and I got another vest for the collection!!! 🦺🔥

Happy birthday Mike!! 🎉 MC is officially turning the big 3-0 today!

Mike has been with HARP since the very early days, starting out as an intern and growing into the CFP® he is today.

He's always the first to jump in and help, no matter the task, and that same energy carries over to how he works with clients. He genuinely cares about people and it shows.

He's an awesome golfing athlete 🏌️‍♂️, a diehard Commanders fan 🏈 (we try not to hold that against him 😂😂), and he brings the most positivity to our crew every day.

Happy 30th! 🥳 Help us wish Mike a very Happy Birthday!
