🚨 TAX REFUND ALERT 🚨💸📲

Next week is when refunds really start moving, so let me educate you before the panic posts take over 👀👇🏽

🔓 PATH ACT IS LIVE
If you claimed:
👶🏽 Dependents
💰 Earned Income Credit (EIC)
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC)

Your refund has been on a legal IRS hold. That hold is lifting. This happens every single year. Once PATH goes live, refunds release in waves 🌊 not all at once.

📈 REFUND MOVEMENT YOU’LL START SEEING
✅ Transcripts updating
✅ Status changing to Approved
✅ Deposit dates populating
✅ Banks showing pending deposits

This is the normal IRS process not delays, not problems, not errors.

🏦 EARLY DEPOSIT EXPLAINED ⏩💵
Some banks allow tax professionals to see upcoming refund deposits up to 5 days in advance. That means we can see the deposit is scheduled before it actually hits your account and notify our clients ahead of time.

This does NOT mean the IRS paid you early.
It means the bank already has the deposit.

So if someone gets paid before you, that does NOT mean something is wrong 🙅🏽‍♀️

🛑 IMPORTANT REMINDERS
• Refunds are released in batches
• WMR updates once per day 🔄
• Banks post deposits differently 🏦
• Approved ≠ instant deposit ⏳

📌Next week is about movement. If you filed correctly and claimed PATH credits, your refund is in motion.

Save this 📌

Because next week… refunds are about to get REAL LOUD 💸🔥

Your tax preparer really just worked 30+ days for FREE 😮‍💨
Waiting on refunds… answering texts… doing the MOST.
At least leave them a review ⭐️

🚨 IMPORTANT IRS UPDATE – READ THIS 🚨

With the government shutdown, YES — IRS refunds can be impacted this tax season.

Here’s the REAL tea 🧾👇🏽
• The IRS may continue processing returns, BUT delays are possible
• Returns that need manual review (errors, identity verification, missing info) could take LONGER
• Paper-filed returns = slower
• E-file + direct deposit = your BEST bet

‼️ The filing deadline DOES NOT change
Shutdown or not, April 15 is still April 15. Penalties and interest still apply if you don’t file or extend.

💡 How to protect yourself:
✔️ File EARLY
✔️ E-file only
✔️ Choose direct deposit
✔️ Make sure your info is CORRECT
✔️ Stop waiting until the last minute expecting miracles 😅

⚠️ And please remember — if refunds are delayed due to IRS operations, your tax preparer cannot speed that up. We file it. The IRS controls the rest.

I’ll keep y’all updated as things develop 💜

Can you claim your spouse as a dependent? 🤔
Answer: ❌ No, you can’t!

Here’s why: The IRS sees your spouse as your partner, not a dependent. When you’re married, you file Married Filing Jointly or Married Filing Separately meaning both of you are taxpayers, not one claiming the other.

🔍 Dependents are usually children or qualifying relatives you support not your spouse.

But the good news: filing jointly with your spouse gives you the highest standard deduction and better tax benefits!

💡 A few important reminders:

• Respond quickly if we reach out for anything additional

🚨HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD CONFUSION ENDS HERE 🚨

Because the internet is mixing things up BAD 😮‍💨📣

✨ Head of Household is a FILING STATUS
✨ It is NOT a deduction
✨ It is NOT the same as Single

Let’s be clear 👇🏽

Yes Head of Household filers are considered unmarried for tax purposes
That does NOT mean you have to be “single” in real life ❌
It means unmarried or legally separated as of December 31

Now the BIG misconception 👀

Head of Household does NOT use the Single deduction
It has its OWN higher standard deduction 💰

Approx 2024 numbers
Single ≈ $14,600
Head of Household ≈ $21,900
Married Filing Joint ≈ $29,200

So when people say 👇🏾

“If you don’t get $23k you must file Single” 🚫WRONG

To qualify for Head of Household you MUST
✔️ Be unmarried for tax purposes
✔️ Pay MORE than half the household costs 🏠
✔️ Have a qualifying person living with you most of the year 👶🏽

This status exists to help people who are carrying households 💪🏽

Filing it wrong
🚩 Delays refunds
🚩 Audit risk
🚩 Paybacks with penalties

Filing Single when you qualify for HOH 💸 Leaves money on the table💯

Moral of the story 🔥 Your filing status is based on FACTS, Not FB opinions, Not refunds‼️

If this helped save it 📌 If you still unsure ask BEFORE filing‼️

01/17/2026

🚨 YES A TAX RETURN CAN LEGALLY COST $1,000+
🚨 NO THAT DOES NOT MAKE IT A SCAM

Before the internet gets loud and wrong, let’s be clear 📢

🧾 The IRS does NOT cap tax preparation fees
❌ There is no law saying a return must cost $200, $300, or what someone else paid

💡 Tax preparation fees are based on:
📌 Complexity of the return
⏱️ Time required
⚠️ Risk assumed
🎓 Experience & expertise
🏢 Business / self-employment filings
💳 Credits claimed
📋 Compliance & due diligence
🔍 Audit exposure
🛡️ Legal liability the preparer takes on

👉🏽 A basic W-2 with no dependents ≠
👉🏽 Multiple incomes, self-employment, credit eligibility, reconciliations, transcripts, and compliance reviews

⚠️ The same people questioning professional fees
are often the first ones panicking when:
🚩 The IRS audits the return
⏸️ Refunds are frozen or delayed
↩️ Credits are reversed
💸 Or thousands are owed back

💬 Low-cost preparation often leads to high-cost problems

📌 You’re not paying for a number on a screen
You’re paying for:
✅ Accuracy
📑 Documentation
📏 Compliance
🧠 Experience
📬 And a preparer who stands behind the work when IRS letters show up

💎 All returns are NOT the same
💎 All preparers are NOT equal
💎 And all money is NOT good money

If you’re looking for cheap there are options
If you’re looking for CORRECT choose wisely ✨
