Meet You Menard Wealth Management Team

Conley Menard, Wealth Advisor

After graduating from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Conley realized that his passion for finance extended beyond just understanding the markets—what truly inspired him was helping people secure their financial futures. During his time at LSU, he gained a deep appreciation for the importance of sound financial planning, and was drawn to the idea of making complex financial concepts more accessible for individuals and families. He decided to pursue wealth management because it offered a unique opportunity to combine his technical financial knowledge with a genuine desire to make a difference in people’s lives. Through personalized advice and long-term planning, he could help clients navigate their financial goals, from building wealth to preparing for retirement. For him, wealth management is more than just numbers—it’s about building trust, offering guidance, and empowering clients to make confident financial decisions that align with their personal aspirations.

A lot of retirees say the same thing lately: ā€œI’m not doing anything differently, but things feel more expensive.ā€

That’s because costs often increase gradually, not all at once. Property taxes, insurance, repairs, and healthcare tend to creep up over time.

A helpful habit is to revisit your spending once a year, just to see what has changed. You may not need to cut back, but having a clear view of where your money is going can make it easier to stay in control.

September is Disaster Preparedness Month, and in Louisiana, we know hurricane season means it’s time to be ready!

Here are key hurricane preparedness tips to keep in mind:

šŸ› ļø Before the Storm
Create an Emergency Kit: Include water, non-perishable food, flashlights, batteries, medications, important documents, and a first aid kit.

Stay Informed: Sign up for local weather alerts and monitor trusted sources like NOAA or the National Weather Service.

Make a Plan: Know your evacuation route, designate a meeting place, and ensure all household members are aware of the plan.

Secure Your Property: Board up windows, bring in outdoor furniture, and check your roof and gutters.

Fuel Up: Fill your car’s gas tank in case of evacuation orders.

šŸŒ§ļø During the Storm
Stay Indoors: Keep away from windows and glass doors.

Keep Devices Charged: Ensure cell phones and backup batteries are fully charged.

Avoid Floodwaters: Do not attempt to walk or drive through flooded areas.

ā˜€ļø After the Storm
Wait for the All-Clear: Only go outside when officials say it’s safe.

Check for Damage Carefully: Watch out for downed power lines, gas leaks, and structural damage.

Help Others Safely: Check in on neighbors, especially the elderly or those with special needs.

Your safety is our priority. For more resources and real-time updates, visit FEMA.gov or your local emergency management site.

Adam Greene, CFPĀ®, Wealth Advisor

Adam began his career as a financial advisor almost a decade ago after earning a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Louisiana State University (LSU). His interest in financial planning was influenced at a young age by his grandfather's involvement and success in investing. Adam was further inspired to pursue a career as a holistic financial planner when he witnessed firsthand the unfortunate impact on others, resulting from a lack of planning or protection. His mission today is to help clients avoid these pitfalls. He accomplishes this by advising clients in the areas of asset accumulation, wealth management, risk management, estate planning strategies, and retirement income planning. Adam is passionate about helping people evaluate, plan and pursue their financial goals. He holds Series 7 and 66 registrations as well as licenses for life, health and accident insurance. Living longer doesn’t automatically mean living better.

Healthy Aging Month is a reminder that how we age is shaped by more than just time. Staying active, mentally sharp, and socially connected all play a role—and so does the ability to support those lifestyles over time.

Small, consistent habits—both physical and financial—can influence what those years look like.
