Just a reminder that if you have a company that was in existence before January 1, 2024, you have until December 31, 2024 to file your Beneficial Ownership Interest Report with the Treasury Department's FinCEN division or risk a $591 a day fine. Other penalties include a $10,000 fine and/or two years in prison. No matter what you think of this, it is the law and they are serious. So please file or contact our office and we can file it for you with the information you provide.
Also, shorter deadlines if you incorporate after December 31, 2023 are as follows:
>The initial BOI report is due within 90 days of formation or registration if the company was formed in 2024.
> Within 30 days if formed in 2025 or later.
IMPORTANT: Unless you correctly closed your company with your Secretary of State Office, you still have to file! Don't take any chances!
