As summer comes to a close and students head back to campus, I'm reflecting on what was an incredible two days with our recent Wealth Management Externship at Karr Barth Associates.

We had the opportunity to bring together talented college students for guest speakers, advisor panels, case studies, and candid conversations about the realities and opportunities of a career as a financial advisor. The engagement, curiosity, and feedback from attendees made it a very successful event.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a success!

We're already looking ahead and planning another externship this January. If you know any college seniors who are exploring careers in finance, wealth management, or financial planning and would benefit from getting an inside look at the profession, I'd love to connect with them.

My dad has always been my hero- to go on stage and tell our family's story and 'My Why' at our recent managers meeting in Nashville was both a challenge and an honor. Very thankful for the opportunity to do it.

Seven years ago, I started my journey as an advisor with Equitable—fresh out of college, with little experience but plenty of eagerness. Fast forward to today, and we’re on track for our best year ever as an organization. As we set our sights on 2026, we’re excited to focus on growing our team.
