Having family living with you can be a joy. If you're claiming them as dependents on your tax return, you may be able to claim a credit as well. You can claim up to a $500 credit towards your bill. There's a simple tool on irs.gov to help you figure out if you can claim it. The Interactive Tax Assistant (ITA) is a simple-to-use online questionnaire.
