We told you there was more to the story. 👀

In Part 1 of our nonprofit Balance Sheet series, we looked at cash, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.

Now we're getting into three more areas that can tell you a LOT about what's really happening in your nonprofit's financials:

• Are we recognizing expenses when we actually receive the benefit?
• Do our books actually match the bank?
• And perhaps the most misunderstood: Does restricted mean deferred?

Your nonprofit’s bank balance might look healthy... but do you know what’s actually behind the numbers? A strong Balance Sheet should tell a story you can explain, support, and prove.

🤝 A little late, but too good not to share!

Last Wednesday, I had the opportunity to attend a business mixer at The Alliance, and it was such a great evening of connecting, catching up, and meeting new people in the business community.

One of my favorite parts of networking is that you never know who you're going to meet, what conversation you'll have, or where that connection might lead. It's always worth getting out from behind the computer and putting some faces to names!
