Pennsylvania LLC Owners: Your 2026 Annual Report is due September 30, 2026.

Beginning in 2025, the Pennsylvania Department of State requires most business entities to file an annual report each year. For-profit entities must also pay a $7 filing fee.
Most LLCs should have already received filing instructions by email or postcard from the Department of State.

As we move through 2026, we want to remind you of an important deadline that may affect taxpayers who invested in a Qualified Opportunity Fund (QOF).
If you previously elected to defer eligible capital gains by investing in a QOF, that tax deferral is scheduled to end on December 31, 2026. As a result, the deferred gain is recognized on December 31, 2026, and will be reported on your 2026 federal income tax return. Any tax due is payable by April 15, 2027.
With this deadline approaching, it is important to plan ahead to ensure the recognized gain is properly reflected in your tax projections, estimated tax payments, and overall tax planning strategy.
