FYI - In preparation for your 2025 refund in 2026: Refund checks from the IRS are going away - you will need to provide bank account info or opt of electronic prepaid debit cards. Also know that electronic refunds are received as much as twice as quickly as paper checks.
IRS to phase out paper tax refund checks starting with individual taxpayers | Internal Revenue Service
IR-2025-94, Sept. 23, 2025 — The Internal Revenue Service, working with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, today announced that paper tax refund checks for individual taxpayers will be phased out beginning on Sept. 30, 2025, as required by Executive Order 14247, to the extent permitted by law.

Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation is thrilled to announce the official opening of the TVHS weight room for community members! Starting Monday, November 11th, the weight room will be available:
📅 Days Open: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday
🕠 Time: 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Community members (ages 18 and older) are invited to take advantage of this facility! Before using the equipment, please review the weight room rules and guidelines on the Tippecanoe Valley High School webpage under Athletics. All individuals must sign a waiver with the weight room supervisor upon arrival.
📍 Entrance: Please enter through the NEW Event Entry doors located to the west of the auditorium.

Community Scarecrow Contest & Display
Help decorate Akron’s Downtown Park! Individuals, families, schools, businesses and organizations are invited to enter their handmade scarecrow for display.
There are two categories to choose from; traditional and themed. This is a family-friendly event; therefore, no gruesome or horrific entries will be permitted. Pick up a complete list of rules by stopping by Akron Carnegie Public Library.
Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each category, as well as Judge’s Pick and People’s Choice will be awarded. Displays will be up by Monday, October 14th and voting will run through October 28th . You may vote for your favorite scarecrows once a day at the Akron Carnegie Public Library.
Sponsorship donations are still needed for prizes. Donations can be mailed to the Akron Public Library, P. O. Box 428, Akron, IN 46910
