Filing for 2026 opens January 2, 2026, but only for self-employed individuals at first.

If you’re waiting on a W-2 or other employment documents, you’ll need to wait until you have everything before filing. Remember: applying for an advance loan counts as filing your taxes, so make sure all your paperwork is ready.

⚠️ Important:
Check stubs cannot be used to file or to apply for an advance loan. Make sure you have the official documents!

If you get an IP PIN from the IRS, don’t toss it—this little number is your key to safely filing your taxes. 🗝️💰

Here’s what you need to know:
✅ Use your IP PIN every year when filing.
✅ If your address isn’t current, the IRS will send it to your old address—delays and headaches follow.
✅ No IP PIN? You cannot e-file.
✅ Lost it? Your return could get rejected or delayed.

💡 Pro tip: Keep this letter somewhere safe and ready when you file. You can also get your IP PIN online through the IRS website if you didn’t receive it by mail.
