Newly released Federal Trade Commission data shows that consumers reported losing more than $5.8 billion to fraud in 2021, an increase of more than 70 PERCENT over the previous year. Imposter scams were the most prevalent form of fraud in 2021, accounting for more than a third of reports, the FTC said. Remember, the IRS doesn't initiate contact with taxpayers by email, text messages or social media channels to request personal or financial information.

been saved! The 8.7% cost-of-living adjustment
to Social Security beneficiaries
will begin January 2023. On average, Social
Security benefits will increase by more than
$140 per month.
