Reminder: Mandatory PDPC Registration Deadline – 30 April 2025
This is a reminder that registration with the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) is mandatory for all institutions, including:
1. Sole proprietors (under presumptive or personal income tax)
2. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
3. Limited liability companies
4. Partnerships
5. Religious institutions
6. Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)
Any other entity handling personal data
The deadline for registration is 30 April 2025. Failure to comply may result in penalties of up to TZS 5,000,000.
Inspections will commence on 01 May 2025.
