The reality that must be kept in mind is that successful businesses create value. They purchase inputs (i.e. raw materials, commodities or services); add management, enterprise or skills at a mark-up or price, with the intention to sell to buyers in the market at a profit or gain. It is interesting to note the gradual recovery of the Jamaican economy. This coupled with the performance and influence of the Jamaican companies listed on the Trinidadian stock market is indicative of the potential benefits of the
Caribbean Single Market and Economy (CSME). For the year 2017, the All Trinidad Index fell by 5.75% and the Composite Index rose by 4.70% ( influenced to no small measure by cross-border listed securities of NCBJ, JMMB and G.Kennedy). In fact, cross-border listed stocks grow by 38.6% during the year under review (WISE Year End Review 2017).
