🔔 Important SSF Update for Employers in Thailand
For the first time in over 30 years, the Social Security Fund (SSF) wage cap will be increased under a new Ministerial Regulation — and this will directly impact payroll costs and compliance for employers.
What’s changing?
The current SSF wage cap of THB 15,000 (in place since 1995) will be increased gradually:
📅 From 1 January 2026
✔ THB 17,500 (2026–2028)
✔ THB 20,000 (2029–2031)
✔ THB 23,000 (from 2032)
As a result, the maximum monthly SSF contribution for both employers and employees will increase from THB 750 to THB 1,150 over time.
