2. ABOUT THE FIA/CAT QUALIFICATION
The foundations in Accountancy (FIA) is a suite of internationally recognized qualifications offered by the ACCA at the Technician Level while the Certified
Accounting Technician (CAT) is the overall qualification you will achieve upon completing all the FIA levels. These qualifications are designed to equip you
with all the technical skills and knowledge required to fulfill a supporting role in accountancy. The FIA/CAT will provide students with a solid foundation
while giving them to incrementally as they progress on to the ACCA. the Introductory Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting, the Intermediate Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting and the Diploma in Accounting and Business. There are two additional papers from an option of three, which when completed, will allow you to attain the Certified Accounting Technician certificate.
3. WHO SHOULD DO THE FIA/CAT
These qualifications are accessible by anyone who has a desire to learn about accounting and finance and there is no age restriction to starting the courses. The introductory courses are designed with the assumption that you know nothing accounting and builds incrementally as you progress from one level to another.
