𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 & 𝐁𝐚𝐝 𝐎𝐟 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝟒 𝐂𝐏𝐅 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐬

The post mentioned 3/4 of CPF insurance schemes, the last one will be 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲 (𝗛𝗣𝗦)

This is a mortgage-reducing insurance that protects homeowners in the event of Death, Terminal Illness and Total Permanent Disability.
The HPS provides basic protection for homeowners, covering outstanding housing loans up to a maximum sum assured of $600,000.

WHY IS THIS INSUFFICIENT?
1) $600,000 might not be enough for individuals with high-value HDBs (hello prime location housing)
2) Tied to the specific flat, if you buy a new flat, you have to buy a new policy;
3) The payout can only be used to service the mortgage loan;
4) Only covers HDBs, doesn’t cover private properties.

WHAT CAN YOU DO ABOUT IT?
Consider supplementing your coverage with mortgage insurance or replacing it with a life insurance plan from a private insurer for higher coverage and significantly increased flexibility on how this payout can be used.

If you’ve been keeping up with the times in today’s era of investing, I’m sure you’ve heard of something called passive income.

It seems like the only thing people are talking about.
